The Role

As a UX/UI Designer at FutureSight, you will work with our studio team on various projects for our clients and new startup initiatives. Our team is very collaborative, and the product or experience design process is fast and iterative. 

We are looking for an ambitious designer who already has some advanced experience in UX/UI designing. Your desire to create great experiences and products, and the discipline to work hard to deliver on time are most important.

We are looking for someone with a “Let’s roll up our sleeves and get it done” attitude. Successful candidate needs to show energy, passion, “can do” attitude. Be proactive at every level. High engagement and communication skills are totally fundamental for us.

Once you prove you know how to work in our environment and how to follow the experience design process, you’ll be able to lead projects from start to finish on your own.

Responsibilities

Most of the time, you will be working directly on client projects along with other members of the team. 

  • Planning and leading qualitative and quantitative research – from user testing, desk research, interviews, business value research, competitive analysis, diary studies, surveys and more.
  • We are open to every (ethical) method to achieve desired outcome
  • Develop a well-crafted research plan, write user research screeners and discussion guides, and lead and schedule recruitment effort
  • Managing a research area with a broad scope in size and complexity
  • Conduct Business Value Research to support our quarterly roadmap
  • Effectively communicating research findings to diverse audiences through writing reports and presentations;
  • Creating personas and user profiles based on research findings
  • Representing user research in key product and design discussions
  • Helping define and prioritise the user problems we need to solve, as well as conceptualising and evaluating the solutions by which we solve them
  • Preparing business and UX analyses
  • Keeping up on industry and marketing trends – including a preparation of ongoing “new trends” reports
  • ​​Facilitating workshops with clients and key stakeholders
  • Proactively drive improvements in user testing facilities, methods, participant recruiting, tools, and equipment Qualifications
  • Preparing clear and communicative reports or other members of the team and line managers as and when required –  Build and synthesise information from usability studies, to guide design decisions for our products
  • Working with creative briefs within the constraints of budget and time.
  • Delivering and receiving feedback
  • Bringing members of the team together, ensuring knowledge is shared and projects are aligned. This could include running feedback sessions and workshops – whether it’s to keep a project progressing or to keep everyone on the same page, you’ll have a natural flair for this type of environment.
  • Mentoring and supporting the other members of the team to develop their skills and knowledge within the business – including occasional work reviews and providing feedback.
  • Ongoing monitoring of qualitative and quantitative KPIs and identifying new challenges. 

Key Requirements 

  • Be always curious to understand human behaviour
  • Experience with in-person and remote usability and UX research tools
  • Understanding and experience with industry standard user-centered design process
  • Strong cross-cultural communication, collaboration and organisational skills with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent time-management, multi-tasking ability, and the ability to prioritise
  • Ability to engage with users, customers and partner
  • Communicating effectively with fluent written and spoken English (at least C1)
  • Minimum 5 years of user experience research
  • Must have dedicated home office space but be also prepared to occasionally attend the head office. From time to time there might be opportunities for travelling abroad.
  • A very strong eye for detail and good analytical skills
  • Experience conducting usability testing, user interviews and other user research methods such as field studies, ethnography, and survey
  • You are very organised and a great time-keeper.
  • A willingness to learn and a confidence to ask questions, and challenge ideas.
  • Ability to work to tight timescales, a well organised approach and a flexible attitudeYou can meet budgets and report on them.
  • You are confident and are happy to attend physical or virtual video events/meetings
  • You feel comfortable with leading projects and other members of the team.
  • A natural flair for presenting and sharing the outcome of the carried projects
  • Analytical mind with problem-solving attitude
  • Familiarity with accessibility and inclusive design as well as agile methodology
  • Proven experience as a UX Researcher, including demonstration of work
  • Proven track record in creating UX research strategy
  • Experience working cross-discipline, e.g., with marketing and product teams.

Nice To Have 

  • Polish language communicative.
  • Previous experience in mentoring
  • Skills in Interaction Design, Visual Design, and Prototyping are a bonus!
  • MA degree in sociology, psychology, anthropology, HCI or related.
  • Knowledge of statistics would be an additional bonus.

Successful candidates will be asked to present their record of previous experience and for that we required dedicated PDF/presentation slides. The interview will last 60min and you’ll have to be presenting for at least 45min.
